What do you want your health for? Take a moment and think about this question. It is important to know why we want to be healthy, because once we understand why our health is important to us, we are better able to get through the how. You know -the how. The actual action we take to regain or maintain our health - the "going to the gym and working up a sweat" how, or the "not having a piece of chocolate cake" how.
The how of health can often feel challenging and difficult to maintain. However, if we are focused on why we want our health, we are more often motivated to continue with the how. Your why could be as simple as the desire to fit into your wedding gown, or your why could be that you desire to have the energy and strength to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
